Let me explain my problem statement. I've a Hardware which I needed to configure using a blackberry application. This hardware can be programmed by using Bluetooth. We have created a software in blackberry which can configure the hard ware using Bluetooth. But as Bluetooth is of less range(around 10 meters), so we cannot use this software to configure from a longer distance.

Now as an enhancement we thought it would be better, if we could configure this hardware remotely using GSM / GPRS (Our Hardware has a GSM module). So we need an API's which can configure this hardware from remote location using GPRS or GSM. Kindly help us in deciding the best suited API's for this purpose. We would be happy if any one could help us with a few sample programs.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
