I am developing an application which is a socket based communication implementation for java and flash. I have implemented it like this article.

I have a question regarding the character encoding of the passed xml data chunks. Some of the characters sent from flash side is not compatible or recognized by the java side. Flash side encodes that using UTF-8 and java side decodes it using UTF-8.

So I need a proper way to transfer xml data using this sockets. That xml data should be xml escaped and it should not be altered. By encoding this, I could not achieve that. So please help me resolving this.

Thank you
