Interaction with Usb Device

Hi

I have been trying to perform i/o operations with the any usb device in linux.
In this case i have connected a usb flash drive to the linux machine.

This is the output i receive when i try to detect the usb pipe and the exception arises when i try to open the pipe:

It's likely to be a permissions issue. Is the USB device being mounted by the OS? Does your program have read/write access to the device node? I don't have any specific knowledge about doing this, but I suspect the problems are more using-a-pendrive-on-Linux problems than just USB API problems.

Yes the USB pendrive is mounted automatically by the OS. But when i unmount it still it gives the same problem.
Anybody have ideas??
