Hi ! Murali Narayanaswamy ,
I also need the same solution. I have got some clue. JavaMail does not have the solution. We may get the solution from HttpClient. If you get any good solution for this please let me know.(afzal_01@yahoo.com)

Thank you.

There is an API developed in PHP to access your Hotmail account and get the contacts / emails / send emails / see folders

You will find it here: http://www.fgde.com.ar/hotmail-api.html

Best regards,
Fernando

I have created a library that is exactly what you need.

http://code.google.com/p/contactlistimporter/

It currently supports only the following services:
- Hotmail
- Gmail

You are free to implement and add other services. It has a nice architecture so it should be not to difficult.

If you like my library please donate :-)

Hi Upeksha,

This thread may be old, but for the sakeness of completeness:
We at JAIDE (a German company) released our Java library for contact importing a while ago. It supports 25 webmailers, including LinkedIn and XING, and auto-updates itself.
We're using it at another project of ours, the Salam Business Club, so there's a guarantee that the library is quickly updated and stays fully functional.
(My apologies if this comes across as blatant self-promotion, I felt that this response fit in here.)

We can walk to school together. And we can both read this tiny ad:
