Hi all,

I have a question about the System.out.println("") statement in a program. The println function displays the contents mentioned within quotes. Can you please help me understand, where this function definition is available? also details about the 'System' and the 'out' object.

System is final class. out is a PrintStream. println() is a function mentioned in PrintStream class.

Start at the Javadoc for the System class.
Find the Field Summary section, which will tell you the type of the out field. Click on the type and it will take you to the Javadoc for that class. There you will be able to see all the overloaded println methods.
