I am attenpting to create an applet that allows a user to create an ice cream cone, it is almost complete but I have ran into a little problem I cannot fix. the problem is when I try to compile the ThrowIceCreamConeII.java file I receive the following message " operator > cannot be applied to java.lang.String,int
if(scoops > 3) " a little arrow points to the greater-than-sign. Any suggestion on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ron, welcome to JavaRanch.

The only place I see you reference scoops is in that conditional statement:

Notice anything odd there?

HINT: there's something missing between those two statements to get from scps to scoops.
