executing jar file

I dont know how to open jar file and inquisition. please anyone tell me how to do it?

java -jar <JAR file name>

eg

java -jar Inquisition.jar

do you mean making the jar executable?

I tried that one,but it shows "unable to access jar file". Is there any path that i have to include?

I don't think it is related to classpath. but still check these few things

1. you type correct name for the jar file. Take care for capitalization etc. The jar file name must not have any spaces in it.
2. If you have CLASSPATH environment variable set, check if it contains . in it somewhere.
