I'm currently preparing for my SCJP 6 exam, my voucher is due until july next year. Any tips on the exam? I've studied for a month now using SCJP6 by K&B, i've also taken some mock exams and scoring consistently between 65% to 80%... how i wish i could pass the exam.

Hi Alvin! welcome to javaranch.

If you are reading the K&B book and giving mock exams and scoring consistently, then you should get a good score. The K&B book is mostly enough for the whole of the exam but I faced two questions in my exam which were not in the book. Actually you can't expect a book to contain everything. In my case I was mostly worried about API related questions so practiced on them mostly. So I ended up with one question wrong in my real exam from declaration and access control.

So basically apart from the book, just go for as many mock exams that you can. It will give you knowledge of a lot of cases which you cannot even think of. You can view a list of free mock exams and all other questions in the SCJP FAQ. The link is in my signature

My Best wishes for your Preparation

Also why did you change your name?? Now your name is not according to the Naming Policy so please change it back...
