HiRanchers,

I am working for a corporate comapny in TESTING. I am an SCJP. I am preparing for SCWCD to shift to java as a develpoer. For that i am studying HFSJ but i am not getting time to practice as i am into testing.

Will i be able to pass wthe SCWCD 5 with out practising. I am able to get 70 % of the score in sample questions at the end of every chapter. I have booked the slot on Dec 30th.
I have passed scjp 1.5(66%) with out practising at all.
Please provide any information on practising. Like which ares should immersed more.

Thanks in advance

Shiva

Hi Shiokla! Welcome to javaranch.

I think you should practice at least on the topics which you are weak at. You might be able to pass the exam without practicing, but to get a decent score you must practice. I am not saying that you practice on the topics that you know, but just make a program or two on your weak points. This will help you gain confidence. This will also help you memorize things that you can't memorize by just reading the book...

maybe you could try writing a small app using mvc. Since you're on testing, why not write an app similar (but very basic) like bugzilla. A real life project will give you some nice experience going into the test, i think.

Hi shiokla,

SCWCD 5 questions are performance based rather than direct questions on concpets so it would be always good to practise sufficent number of questions in each area and gain confidence before the final take
