any restriction on the servlet servlet-mapping and error-page elements

hello ranchers, any restriction on the order of the following elements in web.xml file in the latest versions

<servlet>
<servlet-mapping> and
<error-page>

although the documentation in the web-app xsd seems to tell us that elements can be in any given order, i had problems deploying applications where error-page came before servlet.
