Hi everyone,

I am planning to give my SCWCD 5 exam. The Head first series have helped me a lot with my SCWCD and SCJP.I have Head first EJB but i see it has been written for SCBCD3.0.

Does that mean i can no longer refer to it for the basic ground work on learning about EJBS (i am completely new to EJBS).Or can i read through it and then go for a book which focuses on EJB3.0.

Or should i altogether start off with a book other than HF EJBs.In that case can anyone suggest any good book which gives a strong understanding of EJBS for beginners.

Thank you in Advance

With Regards
Deepthi

P.S.(Only Head first series have this gift of explaining complicated things in a very simplified manner.I hope they come up soon with the new edition of HFS for EJBS.)

I think you should start with a book about EJB3. You'll find links here. I haven't read O'Reilly's, but I can say that EJB3 In Action is easy to understand for a beginner.

If you want to know about EJB2.x, read your Head First book after you successfully passed the exam

I recommend 'EJB 3 Development Guide' by Michael Sikora.

This is a very good starter book on EJB 3.
But please note that it does not cover the entire.
For that get the Panda book after studying this one.
