My confusion is regarding the diagrammatic representation of low level components while creating Component Diagram in UML 2.0. In UML 1.x, a component diagram for typical multilayered J2EE application could be divided into packages as per different tiers in the application and classes like JSPs, Controller, Session beans, DAOs could be components in their own packages.
But in UML 2.0, the construct has changed, so my doubt is whether should I make a huge Component say called Web tier, and put smaller components like individual JSPs, servlets etc also as components or make these as classifiers or as a 3rd option shall I only make a rectangular boundary to display layers and show these classes as components.
Please guide me through.

Thanks very much
