Let me rephrase my question:
If one looks at the exam
testing objectives for the SCDJWS beta exam, one can read the following:
3.1 Explain the use of WSDL in Web services, including a description of WSDL's basic elements, binding mechanisms and the basic WSDL operation types as limited by the WS-I Basic Profile 1.1.
Since the WS-I BP concerns itself with WSDL 1.1 and the objective speaks about basic elements etc. I am lead to believe that WSDL 1.1 is the way to go for this objective.
However, soon things change:
3.3 Describe the Component Model of WSDL including Descriptions, Interfaces, Bindings, Services and Endpoints.
There is not a
word in WSDL 1.1 about a component model. Those who seeketh shall find, but only in WSDL 2.0 specification documentation.
So, anyone who has taken the beta, was there anything to confirm my suspicions? ...or did ya'll completely skip the WSDL part?!??
