Hi All,

I have been in Java Ranch for long time with read only mode ^^"
I passed the SCEA5 part 1 on Monday, the exam is really thought.
Just want to share my exp~

6+ years experienced including:
a. design and develop (EJB2.x, 3, Hibernate, Struts, Spring, Ajax, Flex, WS, BPEL, MQ&MS Broker, JSF, ADF, RMI, Swing, and etc.)
b. conduct J2EE design pattern, SCWCD, SCBCD, SCJP, OO-AD, SOA, and Software Engineer & Process, RMI, etc..

my preparation here:
1. I took around 1 month with 2 hours(workday)and 5 hours(weekend)
2. Review current knowledge with Whiztlab and surf what i don't know thru the internet. (such as CORBA, and IDL)
3. SL425 materials for common architecture, and design consideration
4. Review JSF -> http://developersbook.com/tutorials/
5. Review on SOA and WS -> http://developers.sun.com/learning/javaoneonline/j1online.jsp?track=soa&yr=2008
6. Security, Design Pattern, and Messaging -> McGraw-Hill SCEA 2nd Edition. and http://java.sun.com/sfaq/
7. EJB3 -> ejb3 spec from Sun
8. Do meditation 20 minutes a day. ^^

About the exam
1. 80% are scenario based, be careful about time.
2. Lots of business tier and web tier questions
3. Design pattern questions are short.
4. Only one question on non-functional requirement -_-
5. Web service and many JAX

Unfortunately, on the exam date, i got flu and headache.
Because i played soccer in the rain on the day before. -_- so stupid
I had not much energy when doing the exam, and felt like dying.
So!, prepare your health also.

I hope my experience can give you some advantage.

Thanks you all

Doody calls. I would really rather that it didn't. Comfort me wise and sterile tiny ad:
