Hi All Ranchers,

I cleared SCWCD today with 85%. Better than I expected since the exam is harder than I thought.

Here is my preparation:
- 4 month preparation with 1.5 - 2 hours study daily.
- Head First book.
- Specs.
- A lot of coding practices.
- javaRanch.
- Enthuware exams. ( definitely worth the money, close to real exam).

Thank you for all the ranchers with all your input here.

no working experience at all!... A lot of coding practices.
Given the latter, I'm not sure you quite mean the former? From the subject I was about to point out that it is useless to pass the exam without learning by doing actual coding examples... then I noticed you said you did practise! By "working experience" I assume you mean no former J2EE "on the job" in the workplace? That's probably a quite common scenario for SCWCD takers. But I don't see anyone can condone not doing practical coding examples as part of learning SCWCD.

Anyway, excellent score!

Congratulations

I had the same reaction in an other thread about the Netbeans Certification Beta, where a poster said he took the exam without having used Netbeans before. He probably meant "before studying and using Netbeans for the exam".
