They have done it! Many of my friends supported aussies. Their hopes were doused in the english channel. Way to go!! . I always knew that there is something unnatural with this english team.

It's a treat to watch some aussie columnists like Peter English and Peter Roebuck gripe like kids who lost their candy's.

Truly an all time great series!!!

I am really please for Kevin Peterson - could he have picked a better moment to knock his first test 100. It makes a nice change for someone other than Flintoff to get all the glory too.

England cricket is getting a massive boost by this - hopefully more kids will aspire to be a Flintoff or a Peterson rather than the boring ubiquitous Beckham...

I would love to be an English cricket bat saleman at the moment.

As the script kiddies say - w00t

My official comment will be "This is very good for cricket around the world"

A very nice Ashes series, just look at the pressure placed on the umpires!

And I'm sure you (like me) would never point out the final winning "English" push was supplied by a South African...

Great to watch though. And I have to hope no one else in my Glasgow office will see me writing this, but well played England.

I sure am surprised at the celebrations in England. From the Queen to Hugh Grant to Beckham to the huge gathering at Trafalgar Square to all the English fans worldwide celebrating makes me think that all of England must be partying. I didn't know that the English still loved cricket so much.

I guess England loves cricket when they don't have any football or tennis to follow!
