Pulled a load of laundry out of the dryer this morning: uh oh, melted red crayon on everything! My jeans, some polo shirts, some of Zachary's little shorts and t-shirts, a dinosaur blanket. All with big red melted blobs.

Furthermore, the inside of the dryer is all red!

So, being a level-headed chap, I looked to the Internet. Hundreds of conflicting bits of advice are available, but the important ones:

1) Gotta get that crayon out of the dryer! Mild abrasives (toothpaste) seem to work best.

2) For at least some people, hot water and colorsafe bleach is enough to get everything clean.

So I cleaned the dryer out with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Those things rock!

Then I washed the daylights out of the clothes. I boiled some water to dump in the washer, used a lot of colorsafe bleach, put it on the heavy-duty cycle.

Everything came out. Kind of an anticlimax.

So it's entirely your own undoing?

My day seemed rather mundane in comparison.
