problem referring to form elements from javascript

Hi All,

I am using logic:iterate tag to display some rows of values returned by bean. I have a check box against each row, which when selected should make the whole row editable.
Now My problem is, I am not able to get hold of any of the fields(displayed using the logic:iterate tag) in the javascript using getElementsByTagName() or getElementsById().

Please help me in this regard.
