Hi All,

I am new to struts2.

I have created HelloWorld action.

Following is my struts.xml

<struts>
<package name="tutorial" extends="struts-default">
<action name="HelloWorld" class="tutorial.HelloWorld">
<result>/HelloWorld.jsp</result>
</action>
<!-- Add your actions here -->
</package>
</struts>

I enter following in browser's url

http://localhost:8080/contextName/tutorial/HelloWorld.action.

Above works fine.

Now I add namespace

<struts>
<package name="tutorial" namespace="testSpace" extends="struts-default">
<action name="HelloWorld" class="tutorial.HelloWorld">
<result>/HelloWorld.jsp</result>
</action>
<!-- Add your actions here -->
</package>
</struts>

To my understanding it the resulting url should become

http://localhost:8080/contextName/testSpace/HelloWorld.action

But when I enter above url in the browser it says

resolved it

<struts>
<package name="tutorial" namespace="testSpace" extends="struts-default">
<action name="HelloWorld" class="tutorial.HelloWorld">
<result>/HelloWorld.jsp</result>
</action>
<!-- Add your actions here -->
</package>
</struts>

should be

<struts>
<package name="tutorial" namespace="/testSpace" extends="struts-default">
<action name="HelloWorld" class="tutorial.HelloWorld">
<result>/HelloWorld.jsp</result>
</action>
<!-- Add your actions here -->
</package>
</struts>

Namespace should start with /.

But I still not able to find out if namespace do not start with /, what would be resulting url?

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
