Unable to get Inject object thru Spring in WL 8.1.5

Hi,
I am using Spring with Weblogic 8.1.5 (sp5)
I put an Injection in services-context.xml as

    <!-- A ABC object is injected by Spring into XYZ -->
  <bean id="xyz" class="pkg2.XYZ">
    <property name="abcVar" ref="abc"></property>
  </bean>
 
  <!-- ABC Class -->
  <bean id="abc" class="pkg1.ABC">
    <property name="sessionFactory" ref="admin.topLinkSessionFactory"></property>
  </bean>

Unfortunately, this injected object is NOT available in XYZ
can anyone help, wht went wrong
