I installed tomcat 6 version.I started server if i am trying to send the request through browser using this URL http://localhost:8080/.
it is displaying as page can not displayed.

Can you please suggest me how to send request to the browser.

Once Tomcat is set up and running, that URL should bring up the Tomcat welcome page. Because it is not, your setup is most probably not correct.

Without any further information on how you set Tomcat up, there's not much else to say.

Can you please suggest me where can i download Tomcat latest version and how to do setup.
