Stuck in a lead role with no chance of progressing into an Architect role?
Are you using outdated development tools?
Looking for a change of scenery?
Emerald Resource Groups Software Development Practice has been engaged to identify, assess, and recruit a Java J2EE Architect / Team Lead to oversee technical staff and drive new software development projects.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it..
Youll be the quarterback youll drive projects to completion.

Youll identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.

Youll direct and coordinate activities of development resources to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.

Youll oversee the troubleshooters, firefighters, and code busters

Youll monitor project results against technical specifications. Youll move deliverable from test environment into production.

Youll be MacGyver

Youll conceptualize and create standard interfaces between new and existing systems to work together to provide enhanced functionality.

Youll utilize technical skills to build new software and systems based newer or advanced technologies

Youll be the visionary

Youll be the lead architect in defining program and system requirements based on business information received from management and the user community.

Youll analyze requirements and design software applications and systems.

Youll be the coach and confidante

Youll oversee technical/application design reviews of junior and peer IT staff.
Youll mentor junior IT staff in the areas of software development techniques and methodology.
Youll develop software development and technology standards and policies.
Do you have the juice for this mission?

A bachelors degree from an accredited university.
Technical certifications.
8-10 years of progressively challenging projects and roles within a software development environment.

Your communication skills must be exceptional. When others describe you, theyll call you polished and articulate.

Your project management skills should be strong, not because you read a book, but because you have a track record of delivering projects on time and at budget.

You must embrace challenges, be goal-oriented, and have a propensity for leadership.

If you feel youre up to the task or feel youre the right person to have Emerald Resource Group help you with your next move in Information Technology, send over your background with a cover letter describing your interest in making a change.
