Hi

I am new to MQ and JMS . This is what I am supposed to do. I have a UNIX batch box which runs batch JAVA program ( The job is not running on Websphere layer, but on a normal unix box). This JAVA program creates an XML file which need to be PUT in the MQ asynchronoulsy . Do we need both MQ and JMS to manage this ?.
What is the advantage of using both ?.

While MQ probably has its own proprietary API, I'd advise to use JMS if at all possible. It's the standard API for accessing message queueing systems in Java, and using that instead of a product-specific API will make the code more portable.
