I need to present visually some graphs, networks and DAG (directed acyclic graphs). It can start as Java applications, altho later I will probably want to glue it into some JSP/servlet code

JFreeChart doesn't seem to have this type of display. ATT's Grappa appears to be useful, but its not well documented.

Any other suggestions for packages to look at?

JGraph (on SourceForge) comes to mind.

Gah, I moved this too early, commercial libs probably also exist, moving back...

Prefuse examples are very nice.

Piccolo also may be used.
