It's the first edition of the book and this is related with one of my previous replies here

Question says:

Given: <%@ page isELIgnored="true" %>
What is the effect?

Given answer is(E): This page declaration will only turn off EL evaluation if the DD declares a <el-ignored>true<el-ignored> element with a URL pattern that includes this JSP.

Answer D says: The JSP containing this directive should NOT have any Expression Language code evaluated by the JSP Container.

Isn't the option D is correct? Your suggestions?

Hi Vijitha,

i don't know the content of the first version of HFSJ, but I am sure that answer D is correct. I think that answer E is false. On the second version of HFSJ on page 322 is a small Watch-Out-Note with the title "The page directive takes priority over the DD setting!". I think this says all.

Addendum: The same question is also posted on the second version of HFSJ and the answer is there only D.

Thanks Christian, then no problem.
