Help me for Books for SCWCD 5.0

I am little bit confused in selection of book for SCWCD 5.
Could anyone please suggest me which book would be best for SCWCD 5.0 preparation : HFSJ (Kathy Sierra) or Hanumant Deshmukh ?

I used Deshmukh's book for SCWCD 1.3 and got good results. Not sure if the book is updated for SCWCD 5 though.

If you've read some of the books in the Head First series and liked them, then I say go for the HF SCWCD Study Guide for SCWCD 5.0

It's a fun read.

HFSJ is the best book that I know.

Charles Lyons also has a book that people seem to like which goes well with HFSJ. http://www.garnerpress.com/catalogue/BK0316/

He is also a frequent contributor to this forum and will personally answer any questions you may have.

HFSJ is the best and no need to refer any other books for SCWCD exam.

That's a very personal opinion which stated in that way sounds ignorant. You may have found HFSJ to be adequate for your learning and indeed used only it to pass the exam yourself, but there are many others who prefer a second book for reinforcement, or in fact do not like the Head First style (I have met several of the latter). Head First is, as I understand it, an excellent book for less experienced developers who want a sufficient introduction to pass the SCWCD exam. I hear from many of my readers though that it isn't as detailed as they would like to make them truly advanced Web developers (again, that is their opinion and not mine). Since you have made such a superlative comment ("best"), I assume you have read all the other books too in order to compare them? Perhaps you would care to detail your thoughts on each so the OP can make an informed decision for themselves?

To the OP: why choose only one book? Why not buy both and reap the benefits from them: more practise and a wider insight? They're certainly a lot cheaper than buying the exam voucher!

"Raghav",
Welcome to the ranch. You may not be aware of the ranch Naming Policy. Please read it carefully and change your name accordingly (you need to set both first and last names). Thank you.
