Hi,

The Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0, Final Release specification contains some chapters regarding EJB 2.1. Chapter 7,8,9,10,11, 15 seem to be present for backward compatibility.

I feel we can avoid reading these chapters for the exam. Also, do we require any migration legacy EJB to the EJB 3.0 knowledge. I noticed in one brain dump on one question on migration and interoperability.

The Exam objectives has no word for legacy versions or migration. Could you please clarify if we need to know for the exam.

Regards,
Rajesh

Hi,

Why do you think we have older version of EJB written in the latest release of EJB 3.0.

The specification is not exclusively written for SCBCD. But, it confuses us whether we have to know about it or migration for the exam.

Regards,
Rajesh

Reading through the exam objectives, it seems pretty clear what one needs to know about EJB 2.x, and what one doesn't need to know. Which part is confusing you?

Hi Ulf,

Identify correct and incorrect statements or examples about EJB 3.0 / EJB 2.x interoperability, including how to adapt an EJB 3.0 bean for use with clients written to the EJB 2.x API and how to access beans written to the EJB 2.x API from beans written to the EJB 3.0 API.

Thanks Ulf. I understand.

Regards,
Rajesh
