Hi All,

What kind of questions can be expected for Part 3? Is it something like
"How does your design make the application highly scalable?" or are they technology based?

Thanks in advance!

Questions in SCEA 5 beta are about design patterns, frameworks, persistence solution, non-functional requirements.

I don't remember the rest.

Hi,

I don't think is appropriate to disclose the questions which will be asked. Your queries are pretty explicit which I think any further elaboration could end up with the exact questions. What I think I can comment is that as long as you know how to justify your design decisions and how your design is able to address all non-functional requirements an Architect should be concerned about, I would say you can manage the Part III questions. Do remember to "mark" and go through all the questions before answering them. Time management is important to ensure all the questions within the given timeframe.

Good Luck!!

Cheers!!

Hi Scott,
I am not trying to get the questions out of these queries!!!
I am just trying to know the type of questions (general vs assignment based) so that I can prepare well for part 3!

Thanks
Ashwin

Hi,

My apology if I cause any misunderstanding due to my interpretation. Part III Questions will definitely be very assignment based. Hence, focus on what KengKaj and I have mentioned with respect to your assignment.

Hope the above helps.

Happy Boxing Day!!!

Good Luck!

Cheers!!!

I took the Java Developer certification a couple years ago, which required a project and then an essay administered at Prometric.

The essay was just simple questions about your design choices. I got the impression that the essay was an honesty check, to verify that you were the person who really did the project.

I haven't finished my SCEA part 2 project yet, but I expect that the essay will be similar.
