in fact, i never watch any Hindi movie before, instead, i went to Indian buffet several times, they taste pretty good

The interesting thing about hindi movies in german tv is, that they run
a) in a high culture tv chanel sponsored by some culture budgets of our government (arte) where they also show opera, concert or the latest independent movies from south Tatchikistan or
b) in a trash chanel (RTL2), whose program consists mostly of some teenie commedies. For me it appears new development that rtl2 has indian movies, but I might be wrong.

No program between this 2 extremes show movies from India, but the 2 mentioned programs do it about 2 or 3 times a month.

its a shabby attempt to copy a classic called Run Lola Run.
guess thats what tempted Bose to take up the movie.
this really proves that even good stars cannot survive hopeless direction.

Most of this discussion is about your run of the mill commercial hindi movies. What makes them bad is -

1. Senseless or often repeated plots
- brothers got separated as kids come together as adults.
- two families have a fued going on, then their children meet up in a university and fall in love.
- Bad guys killed a family, one child survived. He becomes a vigilante and seeks revenge.
- and the list goes on.....

2. Totally out of place songs and comic interludes. Most of the hindi movies have to have one of those every few minutes whether the script demands it or not. This is in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of people.

3. No focus in the movies - drama, comedy, action, musical, love story all packed into one. Same reason as above.

4. Lack of acting abilities, especially over last few years. Many of the actors are former models who moved on to movies without any training or ability in acting.

5. Mediocre direction, mediocre scripts, mediocre dialogues. In most of these movies, you don't see any passion at all from the people involved in making it. Makes you wonder...what were these guys thinking!!!

...That is part of it, hope somebody else can add to it...

My worst movie is an old movie, I think it was released in 1995-96, movie name was "Sanjay", starring Ayub Khan.

Ahhhh.. that was the first worst movie I have ever seen in Hindi cinema.

Hey when Gandhi said this sentence, net used to make from Khadi. Khadi is a thickest material and nothing can be passed thru it. So good will remain out side only, even you have net in the door.

its not always like that,
If we talk abt this thread then, I believe, it started just as an instant reaction to "best english movies" thread-->hindi movies and then bad..
And everyone knows that we do have a number of good hindi movies also...
And ratio of "no. of good hindi movies, to, no. of bad hindi movies" is not much different from "no. of good english movies, to, no. of bad english movies"...
