EFH would have made 10,000,000,000,000 posts and would still be going strong

No no, they would have added a software plugin which actually guesses the registerer's name and shows it automatically, along with other registration details.

At some point, someone would realize that he's answered every question possible and use the database of information to construct an EFH-Bot that answers all questions immediately after posting. Of course, that would mean all other ranchers would be obsolete, so the Meaningless Drivel forum would be our last refuse.

How... freudian.

But I think JavaRanch has as much chance of being relevent in 2106 as 1906 very hyped Steam Threshing Machine forums are today.

There will be a Java Classic forum, where users will ponder the days when code was actually "written" for binary "computers."

If Java evolves successfully for next 100 years, and if its still call Java, we might be discussing new APIs to communicate with human and other living beings, and with some luck, we might discussing the upcoming version JVM that will work on many different platforms including that of some of the many alien civilizations Wishful thinking!!

More likely, the Terran code-generator robots will be be grousing about how the Venusian code-generator robots are taking all their jobs on account of the cheaper solar energy on Venus.

We don't have many rules here at the Y3K JavaRanch, but we do ask that you compile our Naming Standards and provide an appropriate URL.

I don't know, it was in 1906 the first modern tungsten light bulb was made. Seems pretty relavent to me. Also the year the first electric/chain washing machine was made. (thanks Google!)

Hmmm.. maybe we wouldn't be manually clicking around using a mouse.. we would probably be getting robots to do that and summarizing everything to us...

May be, no body will use forums in 2106... it's a bit time consuming to type question and wait for answers...

People will just think, I need help of others on this... and everybody will be notified automatically by some way (they will do have options of blocking a particualar sender or receiver...), and they can again think answer in mind....

Its called M-M(Mind-to-Mind) communication with Wireless/Signalless Transfer facilitated by our JavaRanch Guys.

Note: But still we will have Moderators to control our thoughts.
No Escape buddy.
