I am a Java programmer pursuing my undergrad and right now i have RAD 7.0.I would like to change the JDK and JRE from 5.0 to 6.0.Could any one guide me in detail about how to change the JDK and JRE from 5.0 to 6.0

From the menu bar go to

Windows -> Preferences

and on the Preferences Window

Java -> Compiler -> JDK Compliance
