Hi Ranchers,

First of all a very Happy New Year to all of you(it's my first post in this year)!
And this new forum software is like an added topping!
Thanks to the persons behind this wonderful development.

My question is we all talk about mentioning of source if someone posts any code related problem.
And the reason is Javaranch respects copyrighted materials. Suppose person A posted some code
related problem with the quotation of source. For the sake of discussion, lets assume the source is
Whizlabs preparation kit. There may be some other user who din't buy that kit, but still got such a
copyrighted work through a Javaranch post. Isn't is a violation here in such cases?
Or is it like we can not post questions from such proprietary works(I guess NO)?

It is not like that Paul, some people post questions that is from real exam. In market there are illegal real exam question dumps are available, those questions are restricted here. To control this only it is necessary to tell the source of your question.

If you post one or two questions from Whizlabs, I am pretty sure it is okay, as it is probably like advertising for them. If however, Whizlab asks that no question be posted -- we will honor it as it is their copyright.

In the case of real questions, it is clear that posting even one question is a violation of Sun's copyright. Hence, it is not allowed on the ranch.
