Its very common. Most of the people are having 17 inches monitor and using the same resolution. I guess.

How your mouse pointer looks like?
Mine is Black, Extra-large.

I run 1024x768 on my laptop and 1280x1024 on my 21" monitor. At the same time. Makes it hard to disconnect and run on one screen, but I can do that in my bed or my recliner.

Currently I have 1680 x 1050...

I'd love more pixels, but I'm afraid of RMDS (repetitive mouse dragging syndrome ). It seems you either need a bigger mouse pad or you end up picking up the mouse and kind of doing repetitive brush strokes with it to move around. I try to arrange the many windows on my display to minimize all the mouse dragging but that's kind of a partial solution. I don't know, maybe multiple mice are required?

I use a trackball, so it's not proven an issue.

Not only does it have a wider range of motion, but since switching to the trackball from a mouse, by tendinitis has ceased to be an issue.

Well, basically on three different systems,

Desktop(At home) - 1024 x 768
Laptop - 1024 x 768
Desktop(At work) - 1024 x 768

Conclusion, all on 1024 x 768 !

Seriously, how do you people view with 1920 ?

1280x1028... but I want to upgrade my LCD and go to 1600x1200.. of course then I would probably need more powerful dual video cards to play games, yada yada... so it'll be a few years.

Just checked, my 21" monitor is at 1600x1200. I asked my optometrist if running at high resolution was stressful at my advancing age and he thought it was probably good exercise.

Three

At work I also use it dual monitor with a 1280x1024 LCD mounted above the laptop. It was nicer when I was using two 1280x1024 LCDs side by side, you haven't seen Eclipse till you've seen it like this.

It is just the size of pointer. Now you can surmise the size of mouse.
