which two JSTL URL-related tags are used for URL rewiting? (choose two)
A. url
B. link
C. param
D. import
E. redirect

the correct options are A and E.

but the documentation (http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/jstl/1.1/docs/tlddocs/index.html) says that redirect is used only for redirecting.

Please help :?:

Hi Minu,
the javadoc is a little concise on this, but you can read the full description for the jsp:redirect tag in the jstl specification
(http://jcp.org/aboutJava/communityprocess/final/jsr052/index.html).
This says:

<c:redirect> follows the same rewriting rules as defined for <c:url>

When I read this question I thought the answers are A (url) and C (param), because when I want to rewrite an url, and if the browser doesn't accept cookies, then I 've to encode the parameters of the url in <c:param>-Tags.

In HFSJ 2end edition I've not found any information about the redirect-Tag. Does the exam cover this tag ?

Objective 9.3 of the SCWCD exam says:

Given a design goal, use an appropriate JSP Standard Tag Library (JSTL v1.1) tag from the "core" tag library

The c:redirect tag is part of the "core" subset of JSTL (JSTL v1.1 core )

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
