Hi Friends,

I am stuck in an issue. I am trying to create a log file inside the folder D:\logs.For this I am using the following property inside my log4j.properties file:

Now when I restart the application server the log file gets created in the path D:\ instead of the desired path D:\logs

Also the name of the log file generated is logsappln.log instead of appln.log.

The directory name"logs" is not recognised as a directory. It is taken as the file name.

Please can someone help me how to provide the path inside the property

Thanks in advance

Best Regards
Moieen

You need to escape the '\' so try d:\\logs\\<name of log>

I'm not sure if I approve of this interruption. But this tiny ad checks out:
