getting 404 error in JSF

hi,
I am using JSF1.2 and Tomcat6.0.18.
When i am running my program(as well as in
IDE
) i'm getting 404 error.
Please do help me as i'm the beginner.

Make sure the
tomcat
server is started, if yes are you getting the default home page of tomcat?

A 404 simply means that either the URL is wrong (case matters!) or that the resource is actually not there.
