I know; I've lived in Boston long enough to figure out that it is mostly Red Sox fans bitter about not winning. I'd hoped that after the World Series all this would just go away. All those shouting matches of "1918" vs. "Yankees suck" got old really fast. But apparently, there's nothing new under the sun. Yawn. [ February 04, 2006: Message edited by: Ulf Dittmer ]
The Yankees still suck and I hope what's his name chokes on the hair that was cut from his head. That said, they won and anything else really doesn't matter, as long as the Yankees lose. I generally don't follow baseball too much anymore though.
I know who he is, I just didn't want to say his name. As for why I don't really follow it anymore, mostly because not living in New England has made it hard to follow the Sox and the overall character of the game at the professional level seems to have changed for the worse since I was a kid.

Whew... I'm so glad you mentioned that. I wouldn't want you to have thought I was bustin' your balls with some dry irony.
I was just thinkin' that if ever you were going to hang up the RedSox uniform and become a Yankee fan, you have a real great opportunity, being that you have so many familiar faces on the team. It's great fun being a Yankee fan, and the longest you'll wait for some October fun is a year or two, tops. [ February 10, 2006: Message edited by: John Dunn ]
