Hi All,

I have a method updateStatus() in a session bean. This method first invokes a webservice. Based on the status (say staus="SUCCESS") it updates the database.
How do I manage trx in this scenario ?
I dont think JTA is going to work as it does not talk about webservices as part of the trx context. I know WS-TXM is an option. My question is how do they relate, I mean can JTA & WS-TXM be mixed?
As you can see I am not very clear on managing trx while using WS from ejb !!

Thanks
Ashwin

Hi Ashwin,

A Transaction Model for Web Services section of http://java.sun.com/developer/Books/j2ee/jwsa/JWSA_CH14.pdf might be useful.

Anyway when you come across please do a short write up.. Would be useful to all.

Thanks
