I have a mapped super class that maps to a field, lets say "id" (not primary key).
now i have the child class which is an entity bean and here i want to over rite the id field.
But still when i deploy i get a duplicate property exception ... no idea why?

In my first post made some spelling mistakes. So just for the record
i need to over ride the mapping for the id field. Let say i want to do something extra in my getter and setter rather than whats available to me. For this i am using the @AttributeOverride annotation. But it seems not to be working!
