Well it's pretty simple. The Diagnostic exam is usually simple than the other exams. It is useful to access your level of preparation. Practice exams are for well "practice". You give them to be familiar with the pattern of the exam. And the Final exam is usually the toughest one and gives you a fair idea of what you might score on the actual exam.
Also there is no such thing in the Master Exam that comes with the Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates book...
