Season Greeting!

I have few questions regarding Spring framework.

What is the flow of Web Application developed thru Spring(WEB MVC)?Like for Struts,we have MVC kind of stuff.

When to use Spring? as we use Hibernate for Projects of Database-kind.

What is SimpleFormController? When to use this controller.

What is AbstractWizardFormController? When to use this controller.

If we want to make small forum kind of project, then is Spring the best option or any other alternate?

Thank you.
