I always wondered about this... and with two esteemed authors here, I'll going to take advantage of this...
Weblogic supports a "t3" protocol for JNDI. It is basically a protocol that sits on top of Http. The advantage of this protocol is that you can have one port for everything.
Servlets can use the port via http, and EJBs, etc. can use the same port for JNDI. There is no need to configure a different port. (there is also a t3s protocol that sits on top of https).
Anyway, is there something similar with
JBoss. Can I configure JNDI to share the same port that is used for http? If not, is it in the future plans?
