On a diet................

from today!! need to shed a few extra kilos and a bit of flab !!
Going to count my calories from now on, just 1500 a day!! And this is going to be really tough. Apart from plain water, everything else has calories

Ooooo... those hunger pangs !! I will however save a major portion of my calories for my favourite curd rice

Need to wake up early and go for jogging and conquer sleep in office , as a result of waking early!!

And with SCWCD coming up in a few days........

Chetan , it seems when sage vishwamitra was doing penance , many apsaras were sent to disturb his penance , but couldn't distracted vishwamitra !!

A good balance of good food and plenty of workout is what I would advice, than putting yourself thru various diets and plans, unless you want to look anorexic, or if you plant to hit the ramp promoting some size �small� designer-wear.

Since I started my current job, commuting two hours everyday and with various other priorities, I haven�t been to gym for almost two years now, and the fast-food (sandwiches, baguettes etc) habit has started to affect my health seriously � I can�t jog 4km in twenty minutes any more, my back is sore after a normal days work and I have trouble driving for more than a hour. Now my increased weight (nearly 12 Kgs) may not be the only cause behind all these issues, but it sure contributes to most of them. My plan is to be more selective with what I eat, than how much I eat, and to find time to workout more, which, I will have to wait and see how it goes!

Instead of jogging, you guys could try indoor exercise like stepping. It's not expensive to get a reasonable good mini stepper. Do stepping while you're watching TV, listening to music or talking to your family.
And still can enjoy good food like tandoori chicken, chicken biryani with thick curry gravy...drooling.

Had to drag along, with the "hunger bells" continuosly ringing in my brain !! Its second day afternoon, and my friends have already left for a North Indian lunch . Another 89 days to go

Starving is not diet shankar. Instead stop eating junk food, eat less rice and more vegitables..... drink lot of water and fresh juice (with out sugar)

I have seen people who order Coke with Zero calories and Extra cheese burger

I suggest one big thing that you will be surprised really helps.

Don't eat anything between three hours before you go to bed, and when you got to bed. But also don't eat anything in bed, because you will get crumbs all over the bed.

When you ahve stuff in your stomach when you go to bed, it really is slow to digest.

If you diet, you'll feel famished to study for SCWCD. If you study a chapter hard and are satisfied with yourself, you'll feel like treating yourself to chocolate cheese cake and ice-cream . Atleast that's what happened to me

Today is 6th day!! Lost 2 days in the middle because of cake cutting in my workplace . No more breaks now!! Chetan,i think you are eating too much of junk food and you too should start a diet and exercise !! . Weight gain is just one of the ill-effects of junk food!! Junk food will cause a lot of other damage, so beware Also tell me when u start dieting. I'll come to IdealLake in Bombay and cut a huge Black Forest Cake, distribute to all ur friends and u can keep watching . (Dont worry about transportation, we'll get in Agarah Upadhya's car ). Satish will buy the cake for me, as he is experienced about cakes

Instead of going hungry, try eating little throughout the day...and do try some of these:

1. Strict NO to soda like coke, pepsi etc. Try water or fresh juice
2. Start the day like a king with a heavy breakfast. Have a mild lunch and end the day like a beggar (ultra light dinner).
3. Try reducing rice consumption. Instead have bread like chappati / roti (dry and not with butter!).
4. Try any cardio exercise like running / walking / cycling / step machine...everyday

U wud see the result in 30 days itself!! Happy Slimming!!
