JBoss in Action - IDE integration

Hi,

Any sections in the book talk about JBoss 5 integration with any of the IDEs available?

For example integrating JBoss 5 with Netbeans? Hope there is some issue in the existing JBoss-Netbeans IDE plugin.

So far there's no integration for JBoss 5 in NetBeans 6.5, but there's a workaround, though. Take a look at this.

For me, the purpose of the JBoss-IDE integration is for debuging/profiling only. You can have more detail of Eclipse-JBoss 5.0 over here
Or you could add some additional arguments to the system properties while starting JBOSS 5.0 and config Eclipse to monitor the running JVM as Debug.

As you might have noticed in other posts, JBoss in Action is about configuration and not about development. Thus we do not cover any IDEs. There is a Java EE 5 Development with NetBeans book out (it was featured as a Java Ranch promo a few months ago), and I know of a book on JBoss Tools that is coming out soon. Also, the JBoss Tools documentation is pretty good - they even have videos showing how to perform various tasks.
