Hi All

I have a lot of jar (internal) files.

How to find the jar which contains the particular class?

Please clarify.

Thanks,

The jar tf filename.jar command will list the contents of a jar file.

Also, here we are checking the jar for the contents right. is there any other way to find the other way around?

If the class you're looking for is on the classpath JWhich (discussed in a tip on the javaworld web site) should help. It's similar to the *nix which command.
