I am new to Hibernate . I want to know that if I implement Hibernate in my application in place of JDBC then is there any need of DTO and DAO .

Thanks

Certainly. The DTO becomes a Hibernate entity then. The DAO is still important as a port between Java and the database. You only need to reimplement the DAO class with the Hibernate API instead of the JDBC API.
