Hi Folks,

I have been waiting for this day since a long time. I am going to take the SCJP5.0 test this Wednesday. But I am hell of a scared person . I took the master exam that comes with K&B book and scored 88% and to be true when I solved it twice. I have gone through the book and each of the exam objectives twice by now.

Any last minute tip would be very helpful. Are the real exam questions very tough?Where are the questions from? And I was also thinking how much, getting 88% in the master exam would project my probable final score to be.

Any tip, suggestion and/or discussion and good wishes are very gratefully welcomed.

Thank you.

Are questions expected from the master exam itself?

I just passed the exam 3 hours ago

I have been reading like a mad all weekend and taking mock exams. I only had time to take the first two Devaka exams and scored just below 40% on both. On the K&B MasterExam I only scored 44% (I took it really fast and the lacking information about how many answers to pick properly lowered that score quite a bit).

However I carefully analyzed the questions I got wrong, and quickly wrote small programs to memorize it better.

I personally think the exam was quite a bit easier than both Devaka and K&B MasterExam - there were less traps, and I think I spottede most of the traps based on experience - especially from the Devaka mocks.

I scored 73% on the real exam - which of course is not near perfect, but more than enough to pass

So if you score 88% on the MasterExam I think you are ready. Just remember to get a good nights sleep before the exam, read every question carefully and stay calm. I personally used every minute available

Can anybody tell me about unanswered questions...I think they are considered as incorrect if unanswered!

Yes unanswered questions is considered incorrect. So if you have no clue on a question just take a wild guess - it is better than nothing

Good luck on your exam, I am sure you will do well.
