Heres the draw for the qtr finals of the UEFA Champions league ...

Arsenal v Juventus (Winner : Juve)
Lyon v AC Milan (Winner : AC)
Inter Milan v Villarreal (Winner : Villareal)
Benfica v Barcelona (Winner : Barca)

I am betting on Juventus, AC Milan, Villareal and Barcelona making it to the Semi finals stage.

Who are your favourites to enter the semi finals ...

My personal favourite is clearly Villareal, although i don t think they have muhc of a chance. Whatever happens I think there's no way that Barcelona can be stopped (they're the best, although i'm not too hot for them as i'm for Madrid ). The only ones up to the task are the Italian teams which usually do a good job of sapping offensive powerful teams with their super defensive tactics and their dirty counter attacks. It's happened before (AC 4 - Barca 0)

I completely agree with your bets, except for inter - villareal. I think the italians are more likely to win, even if they re not playing at their best, villareal has never made it this far in a european championship.

We'll see how it goes i suppose.

Hmm, it seems ur predictioon on the inter - villareal match may be correct. Italian teams are always tough to predict, and Adriano will be looking to bury the missed penalty ghost.

Let us hope for some great football!

I know it is not a famous team, but do not underestimate Lyon
Milan will have a tough time.

Same applies to Benfica - Barca match too...

All the teams have come so far, which mean they are good and no one can be complacent.

However much I like Benfica, it would be an amazing feat to win Barca, i don t think there's anyway. Barca has had the best season in a very long time and they pulverised some personal records of macthes won consecutively. Added to the fact that they're overmotivated to win this cup, if i remember well, the last time barca was in a final was in 94 against milan (am i right? no time to check). This is their big come back.
About Lyon, you may be right. Still i think the safest best is with the italians. Although man, i d love lyon to win.

Yes, Barca would be tough to beat, they got all the right players in their team .... I would be happy if Benfica put a tough fight against them.

Would love to see Juventus and Barcelona in the finals though!

Yeah, the two teams I like the least just happen to be the favourites for this year... I don't like the way juventus play, they're effective but i don t like their style, and as for barca, well i m for madrid so... .
But i have to admit the football they play is beautiful, it's crazy they do things which are just magnificent... I went to see them this summer playing against Betis, and although the match wasn t important for them, they still pulled amazing feats.
Which is your fav team?

I'm guessing on a Juve Vrs Barca final. With Juve to win, but only by a slight margin.

Good to see the Arsenal will meet up with Vieira again. Wenger will see how much he is missed, when Juventus control the midfield.

Barca are much better than Benfica, who outplayed them in the first leg. They're the favourites, and have the best player in the world. Barca will finish Benfica off in front of almost 100,000 fans at the nou camp:

Looking forward to a AC Milan vs. Barca semi-final - what a game that will be.

P.S. Did anyone see the Milan - Lyon game? I feel so sorry for Lyon, Milan were awful.

Yup. Milan were so lucky to get through. I would have much rather seen Lyon progress, they are a far more entertaining team.

Final Scores:

Barca 2 - 0 Benfica (0 - 0 1st leg)

Juventus 0 - 0 Arsenal (0 - 2 lst leg)

No shocks here then, apart from the shocking performance from the old lady (Juve). How Viera must regret leaving Arsenal for them. They missed Del Piero.

Cannot wait for the Semi-Finals:

Barca V AC Milan (what a cracker that'll be)

Villareal V Arsenal

I predict a Barca - Arsenal final. What does everybody else think?

judging by the gunners performance in the match , I too think its gonna be a Barcelona v Arsenal final.
AC Milan dont deserve to be there among the top 4.. they were pathetic in the Lyon match. Lyon were really unlucky that night.
But dont underestimate Villareal... they are playing good football and can cause an upset as they have done throughout the season.

Villareal will be tough opponents - three british teams this season have failed to win there. I think abit of Henry magic should settle the tie.

well.... a Barca , Arsenal final seems to be the more likely one; but we can never count out Villareal with the kind of form they're in right now. With AC Milan it's just hopeless... too many tired legs....
