Hi All,
I'm new to web services. I currently have a service MyService that has method getPersons(PersonPVO searchParam) and getPerson(Long personId)
The PersonPVO class contains String firstName and String lastName

http://localhost:8888/MyFirstApp/services/MyService/getPerson?personId=357 this works ok

but how do I call getPersons with the parameters firstName or lastName

Hard to say. Doesn't the service have some documentation (I assume you didn't write it yourself) or a WADL? There is no standard way for calling a WS using URL parameters, so unless you have access to the source code -or information from the developer- there's only trial and error.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
