When you get dressed to head out the door for work (hopefully you get dressed), what shoe do you put on first?

What ever you grab, Left, or Right?

I tend to be in the "What ever you grab" department. If the shoes are lined up I tend to go for the right one.

I put on Zachary's shoes first. Then whatever I am closest to. I haven't actually untied my sneakers in months; they're just kind of like slippers. Which is good, because I don't have a free hand to tie them.

I still can't tie my shoes properly. My father taught me the incorrect way of doing it (he can't do it either), and once that got stuck in my head I could never learn the correct way. People still go on about rabbits going round trees and under holes, or round under over etc, but I just can't remember how to do it.

My method is to tie a normal knot, and then make two bows and tie them in the same way.

As far as I remember, I always start with the left shoe. I tend to use a
shoehorn, but if im late I use the brute force approach.

Concerning tieing shoes:

@Dave: I dont know if it bothers you, that you cant tie your shoes properly
(I can't imagine that it would!), but anywho - he's an animation of how:

If anyone of you ranchers are into shoelaces, "Ian's Shoelace Site" might
be something for you:

Hmm. I wonder if there is a correlation between people being left or right handed, and their preferred first shoe. Are you left handed, or is my theory rubbish?

It was slightly distressing in school when I was the only one who couldn't do their shoes up properly, but I've got over that now. In fact I'm knot bothered much.

Same here. But I prefer using left hand to hold scissors and carry bag.
